Safe neighborhoods will be a top priority of city leaders in my administration. Equipping our police force with what is necessary to patrol our neighborhoods as well as ensuring an adequate number of officers is imperative for enforcement. Partnering with community leaders is an important part of reducing citizens who commit crime. If we maintain an excellent educational system, and work to bring more and better jobs to our city, the need for a citizen to commit a crime is eliminated. A community coming together for a community watch is an excellent example of crime prevention. Members of a community are the people who know best what’s happening in the community. I want our city to be the place where people from West Tennessee move to be able to feel safe.
